Favorite Cereal? Angell-Os

It's been a while since I last posted, sorry about that, but I'm back at it and won't leave so much time between posts anymore. In spirit of potentially going to see Steve Angello on Friday, and to see whether or not my friends want to go, today's post is going to be very Angello-fied to show off his good shit. Although he's MUCH better live than his tracks show in my opinion!
Who the fuck is Steve Angello?
A third of Swedish House Mafia (you'll see a song of theirs later, the biggest hit of this summer "One") along with Sebastian Ingrosso and Axwell. A half-Greek half-Swedish DJ known as one of the top in the field, with a shit load of awards recently and other impressive stuff that I won't go into detail about, that's what Wikipedia is for!
My favorite song here is probably "Partouze (Jean Elan Remix)", just for that drop at 4:22, it's madness I tell you, MADNESS.

(One thing to keep in mind with this song, is the drop at 1:28, will literally give your ears the loving and satisfaction they so properly desire when it drops on good speakers or good headphones, that bass is a vibrating massage waiting to happen)

(This is one of my preferred remixes of "In for the Kill" by La Roux, Steve Angello combines the two different songs very well I think)

(This could easily be regarded as the song of this summer, at "Electric Zoo" the electro festival in New York earlier this year, this was the most played track and the encore at the end of the two-day festival. It's just a hit.)

(It's all fun and games, and then it hits the build up until the drop at 4:22, then it becomes a complete wasteland, ideal for your dancing and auditory needs, you dirty listener you. I also think that drop is very reminiscent of Wolfgang Gartner, oh, and atomic destruction too)

Rumble in the Jungle

This has been a work-in-progress so that's why it's late, I kept getting distracted by distracting stuff (such as getting back on my cellular grind, basketball, cleaning, you know, the regular stuff) and I also kept fucking up (excuse my english) (oh new catchphrase alert!) the mix by like randomly scratching by accident or something (there's a tiny mess-up in this one too, actually there's two, but they're little and I'm too lazy to fix them).
So here it is, after the long wait...
In honor of the Sigma Chi Fraternity Pledge Party "Rumble in the Jungle: Deep Within the Bush", an exclusive Tay Today Jungle Mix made up of the most exotic sounds known to man (or a good amount of them).
I prefer this one much more than the HalloWeakEnd Mix, and I think there are some really good parts! Let me know what you think, improvements, stuff you liked, etc. Same deal with commenting as before, you can always just comment anonymously.
Without further ado (except you'll have to scroll past my fascinating flyer),

This was my first attempt at making a flyer, needless to say, another more legit looking one got chosen for the event haha.
(Haha see what I did with the name there! I'm a man of many names, so mysterious. But about the song, I like a lot of parts, I'm happy with a good amount, I think the "Animal" mix came out decently, or has potential, and I really like the two songs that come after Panther (Marvul Remix) - that's the song with "Animal", I'm not going to tell you much else because that could spoil it. Also, the ending makes sense because the song is called "Turn Down the Lights" and it's the end.. I thought it was clever)

Motown Meets Madness

Went to a Motown themed bar the other day for my friend Jazz's birthday, and in honor of that I'm doing a semi-Motown-inspired post!

/\ Sad kitty!
(The dubstep remix of the classic "Please Mr.Postman" by the Shirelles, this remix is so fucking dope, excuse my language but it really is. I heard the original the other night, and it made me NEED to hear this remix. You'll understand why after you listen. So get to it)

(My good friend Kellysha's fav. song is "I Want You Back" and we danced the hell out of it, she also likes Drake, so here's a dope mashup in case you slept on it)

Finally!

I'm uber sorry about the lack of posts this weekend, I was back home in New Yawk so I didn't have enough time to hit chu guys up with a post. Anyway, I'm back in Montreal, and I have some time, so, you can finally get that juicy music you been waitin' for.

(I dig this track. In a similar way to the picture above. Pretty Lights could be Biggie's reincarnation the way they work well together? Eh. Don't take that as a serious theory, I haven't perfected it yet)

The Post Eurotrip Post

Been meaning to do this since I got back, but here's the official 2010 Eurotrip Dedicated Post!
I went on a eurotrip from the 12th of July to the 12th of August (I did a bunch of posts during it), but this is going to be a post eurotrip, summary post, not in any particular order (The Post Eurotrip Post).

Also, new lingo: ICYSOI = In Case You Slept On it

(One of the catchiest songs, no lie, apparently my sister was on it a while ago, but I didn't like it until hearing it with club speakers, catchy shiit)

One Love (Ft. Estelle) - David Guetta
(David Guetta is maybe the king of techno right now just for the fact that the new catchy techno song everyone knows the lyrics to each week probably belongs to him, props to the man. This song is catchy as Estelle kills it)

(This is my favorite new mashup I found, catchy shit)

(Heard this song so many times on Eurotrip, Ferrer with the summer hit! Pretty catchy stuff, and I heard you say! Hey! Hey! etc.)

(And it's all because I heard you say... A good remix of the song, just that euro club catchy shit)

(One of those songs you know the lyrics to but don't know the name of for a long time I think, but now I have it and you have it, it was a huge hit in Europe this summer and it's just a classic)

Hahaha, I just had to post the video because of this comment:
"I really like your remix, but say my sry to your dad, about having a homo son"

(Dope remix of the song, gives it some serious bump and intensity)

*In case you slept on your entire life and managed not to hear it*
(It's just a classic, heard it in a club so I'm putting up. Get on up muddafuxxas, a message from your friendly Tay Today)

(Heard this while blazing in a coffeeshop, so dope, really good song, but it's more my mom's style than mine.. Not necessarily a bad thing, cause I loves it! But it's family friendly too, woohoo)

(A repost, heard it at one of the clubs in Barcelona and shit was fresh so it's a eurotrip song, simple as that)

(Yeah yeah he played it and it was dope at Opium in Barca, good song, better when you're really drunk though)

(A good remix of an already good song)

Tayke a Look

Had to drop a music video oriented post to follow up with another random joint of Kev Brown's (haha get it? that's the name of the song too!)
And then some other ill music videos by Ninjasonik,
followed by one of my favorite videos by Shad, shown to me by Luka K.

"But every now and then I'd be living the rap life,
I'm nice with the beats, the rap's tight
Hold the torch, no battery for your flashlight,
it's back to the future, I wrote this rhyme last night,
you heard the classics from the past right?
I'm bouta make some more of those n get my cash right"
(Roundin' off the last post with a last Kev Brown track, good shit good shit)

(Ill remix of the already fresh track, Ninjasonik doing something I can actually appreciate! and not talking about tight pants?!)

"And in the Daylight, I don't pick up my phone,
Cause I'm still dead asleep at home"
(And here's their dope remix of "Daylight" by Matt and Kim)

(And here's another remix in case you missed out on it last time)

"Like why's a brother need a dentist? It's expensive!
And my gums'll bleed, they do everytime when he scrubs em clean
and every year they try to bump the fee
plus he'll prolly recommend braces, that's another G!
Well thanks a lot Doc', but listen I can brush my teeth,
all on my own, so you ain't gon' hustle me"
(Doope track, sick lyrics over a simple beat, and the accapella part is too fresh)

Just in case you were curious about that "Tight Pants" reference...
(I think this youtube comment about sums up the song,
"The amount of times he says 'nigga' in this shows this song is serious business. For realzies.")

By the Tay, For Partay

Another new post straight from Barcelona! How poppin'!
This time around the post is chock full of fresh Mashup action (as well as non-mashup songs in case you have a problem with song splicing).

RHCP-RHCP-RHCP-RHCP

The reason I got into all of these mashups is because this song (/\ right there!) was played at a Barcelona club the other night so I went hard to find it, found it, and then decided to look for more Red Hot Chili Peppers remixes which led to mashups galore!

(This is sick)

("99 Problems" is always sick and there's so many great remixes of it since it's originally acapella and the flow is so flawless, but this mashup is dope and I'm feeling it)

Overheard in Barcelona (Kinda)
Also heard "I Think I Like U 2" and "Hold Yuh" at separate clubs which inspired me to post them (and/or a remix) here!

I've been a big fan of "I Think I Like U 2" for a while now and to finally hear it in a club confirmed my belief that it's a sick dance song.

(Not sure which one I like more, original or remix, but they're both dope)

(This is mostly for the ladies, it's my friend Camila's favorite song, and it got people going hard (potentially literally with the way they were dancing to it) at the club so it's got to have something to it, this remix adds something else to it, double whammy)

Jackson 5
The Jackson 5 got that bubbly bubble pop sound that everyone loved at some point in their life (or most people, unless you too cool fo' that shit) so them in mashups is perfect, especially with two of the most overplayed rap songs in the recent past!

(Finally makes "A Milli" bearable again after the onslaught of playing time it received)

(Personally my favorite of the two "I Want You Back" mashups)

(Another one that's mostly for the ladies, you won't catch me playing this song for myself ever, but it's a fresh mashup and may come in handy during a set, so here it is)

More Fresh Shit
(Definitely feeling this one, Kids is a great track but got overplayed and this mashup lets me enjoy it again)

(This is the classic mashup, if you don't know it, now you do, and if your friends don't know it, do them a favor and show them, it's just on point)

(Another classic mashup, I'd love to see Beethoven's reaction)

(No it's not a song about Lil' Wayne being president, chill out wayneheads, it's the Office TV show theme song, fresh)

Ravemen Exclusives
(This is a great example of what rap/dance music should sound like when it's combined, can't wait to start dropping this while DJing)

(Just found this yesterday, it's pretty dope, if anything it's the odd one out here, but the drop at around 1:20 is dope)

(Ravemen Exclusive because the infamous Raveman DJ Caveman showed it to me all the way from Shelter Island, New York! From New York, to Barcelona, to wherever you live, - shout out to my American Samoa fans, Luxembourg, and Vatican City peeps, keep doin yo' thang!)
