Rundun Taon

It's Friday and you need an epic song to get you hyped for tonight, either at your pre-drink or at wherever you're going.
It's Friday and you're mad at me for having posted a post about colors yesterday... and you just wanna hear shit, not see shit.
Or maybe, you're not even going out tonight, and you want to have a good time dolo. Or you're DJing tonight and need a song to put the crowd in the frenzy.
Or maybe you just appreciate good music and want more of it, and you actually thought the color post was interesting.
Whatever your motives, this song is sure to satisfy them.
As long as you're not against the dub.

London Town (Foamo Remix) - Man Like Me
(I've come to expect good things from Foamo, and this song does not disappoint AT ALL. The vocals are good and whatnot, especially making it a sick and enjoyable build up. I love piano in build ups and my electronic songs, so I quite obviously love the piano in this, as well as the vocals. And it just builds up perfectly into a flowing dubstep drop which I'm definitely a fan of. With samples dropping back in smoothly, I expect you guys to appreciate a lot with this song.)

Fuck Yes

Excuse my french, but fuck yes! Finally the layout is back working, thanks to help from a very kind blogger! So, in the spirit of this, I've decided I will post a song I love right now.
It might not be as raw and bass and destruction filled as my first song in a while should be, but this song is great.

Ok I changed my mind, I'm going to post a raw, bass, destruction of a tune, that will be sure to make sure you and your mother lock the doors and windows to make sure the wobble doesn't come get you.
Hide your kids? Hide your wife?.... hide your ears?
Too late.
Ze wobble has arrived, and if you're gonna be weak then it will probably be....
(This is one of the best songs I've heard in a WHILE, it's just too fucking good. The beginning is epic with the word association, and then the drop is sudden and furious, my first reaction upon hearing it was literally "WAO" which means wow, but in a smoothly spelled way. It's ridiculously good and I can't believe I didn't know who Far Too Loud was until a couple days ago. Welcome to the dark side my friends, we have bass.)

And in the spirit of Igloofest in Montreal tomorrow, where Stanton Warriors will be performing! Here's the ever classic song that my sister put me on. If you're in Montreal, come through and get your face rocked to joyful music for the masses (or at least the masses with good taste)! and if you're not in Montreal, if you appreciate good music you'll still love this shit (and I assume you like good music if you're even on this blog).

(Just a dope track, 'nuff said.) (I can't believe I actually stopped at a 'nuff said. Did you feel like something was missing? Not enough of a description? Fine. In case you needed more. This song is killer, I love bass, I love the beach boys, my vibrations are good as hell and that's why my dogs and woman love me, positive vibes all day long, but the real vibrations that are important are the bass vibrations abound in this post and massaging your ears into a deep satisfaction that you can't find with shit music.)

Havoc Inducer

Everyone's talking about Dubstep! And since I've already done an earlier post with my thoughts on the matter, now I'm just going to shove forward a heavy dub track that should make your life better if you do in fact like dubstep as much as you say you do!
And if you don't like dubstep, here's another chance to change your mind, with one of the rawest tracks my ears have been graced with.
^ Why? Because anteaters don't get enough love, and neither does bass, until now.

(In my opinion this is one of the best drops, just because for me at least it was unexpectedly dirty and raw immediately from the get go, I might have just ruined that surprise for you, but I still think there's a good chance I didn't because it's so hard hitting even after I've heard it so many times. Favorite part? The 'HEY!' right before drop, very classic. Very jurassic. Why the dinosaur reference? Because dinosaurs are raw and so is this song)

Just Dew It

Here's the mix I made for my little lady (gurlfrand) Maya's birthday.
All corniness aside (and by corniness I mean the fact that every song is relatable, and almost all of the lyrics are too), it's one of my most ambitious mixes yet and I think it turned out pretty damn good (if I may say so myself), even though I have some issues with it.
Favorite part has got to be at when "Love to Edit" and "Baby I'm Yours (Color Blaster Remix)" drop together, shit had me dancing first time I played it, unfortunately I think I messed it up a teeny weeny bit in this recording, but, I still like it nonetheless, I'm just pretty hard on myself.
Some people might just find it corny and not focus on the actual mix, but that's alright cause we all know that:

But all haters aside, here's the mix, with a cute picture to fit the theme (I'd add a more intense picture to fit the theme of 10:59 when you're gonna get shoved behind a plane lifting off and have to deal with that blast of intensity, but I couldn't find a picture dirty enough).

(My favorite parts are at 7:48 for one of my favorite sounding 'choruses' ever, I just find "Praise You" so beautiful, 10:59 for the bass murder - one of my new favorite drops, and at like 16:01 when "Baby I'm Yours (Color Blaster Remix)" and "Love to Edit" start playing together as the epic finale)

Dubstep and the Modern World

As Dubstep is getting more and more popular in places other than the U.K., us who have liked Dubstep for more than a month are starting to notice some unfortunate trends. I was talking to my friend from highschool, Lamb-Bam (I don't know why I just called him that) the other day about this shared concern.
The concern is now that dubstep is 'cool', you have more and more people saying they like it and saying they want to listen to it, but don't ACTUALLY like it, or want to listen to it. It's a case of the bandwagon fan, or the trend-follower, who latches onto the seemingly mainstream trend at the moment, and becomes a 'fan'. It makes for good small talk for the new fan, but once they talk to someone who's actually into the music, their conversation drops to 'yeah's and head nodding because they don't know shit.
Now, I don't have anything against people who don't like dubstep, seriously, I completely understand, it's like an electronic heavy metal (in a way), and I don't like heavy metal, so I definitely don't judge anyone for disliking it.
And I don't have anything against people who only like some dubstep, it's ok if you're not into the really dirty, grimy shit and only like the softer, less ear penetrating stuff. That's your personal preference. It's like enjoying milder rock over heavy metal I suppose (wow I'm just running with that analogy).
My issue is that if you say you like dubstep, please actually like dubstep, and be open to listening to different types of dubstep. If you don't like all dubstep, just say you only like some dubstep. I don't like the fans who are like "Yeah I love dubstep! That filthy shit just makes me want to fuck a chicken!" and then when they hear anything dirtier than "Kickstarts (Bar 9 Remix)" (look it up, search bar at the top), they don't know how to react and turn it off. That's called being fake.
Another thing, to all you mo'fuckas who hated dubstep in the past and said it sounded bad, was impossible to dance to, all sounded the same, and all that shit, and who are now fans of it. I'd just like to say, we told you so.

So now, in the spirit of dubstep, here's the dirtiest song I've ever heard, in case you slept on it when it was posted a while ago. If you don't like dubstep, here's a chance to embrace its dirtiest, and if you do like it, see how much you really like it by blowing your face to shreds with this song.

It's too dirty! I do not want!

(All I have to say is tell your face I'm sorry for the pounding this song is going to give it. I'm kidding that's never all I have to say when I say that. Get some good headphones preferably, or sick speakers. the drop at 0:56 is dope, but the best is at 3:10 at the yell after "a strange disfigured man watches his every move". That's also when the badass human starts fucking up the robot army that had been massacring humanity, yes, there's a story to it.)

Rumble in the Jungle

This has been a work-in-progress so that's why it's late, I kept getting distracted by distracting stuff (such as getting back on my cellular grind, basketball, cleaning, you know, the regular stuff) and I also kept fucking up (excuse my english) (oh new catchphrase alert!) the mix by like randomly scratching by accident or something (there's a tiny mess-up in this one too, actually there's two, but they're little and I'm too lazy to fix them).
So here it is, after the long wait...
In honor of the Sigma Chi Fraternity Pledge Party "Rumble in the Jungle: Deep Within the Bush", an exclusive Tay Today Jungle Mix made up of the most exotic sounds known to man (or a good amount of them).
I prefer this one much more than the HalloWeakEnd Mix, and I think there are some really good parts! Let me know what you think, improvements, stuff you liked, etc. Same deal with commenting as before, you can always just comment anonymously.
Without further ado (except you'll have to scroll past my fascinating flyer),

This was my first attempt at making a flyer, needless to say, another more legit looking one got chosen for the event haha.
(Haha see what I did with the name there! I'm a man of many names, so mysterious. But about the song, I like a lot of parts, I'm happy with a good amount, I think the "Animal" mix came out decently, or has potential, and I really like the two songs that come after Panther (Marvul Remix) - that's the song with "Animal", I'm not going to tell you much else because that could spoil it. Also, the ending makes sense because the song is called "Turn Down the Lights" and it's the end.. I thought it was clever)

Fun Day Monday

Sunday was all rap, including the Kanye West film which you should check out if you haven't yet (it's easy! Scroll down!),
so today's going to be a Harsh-in-the-Best-Way-Possible return to electro music, specifically some dirty dubstep because I promised it to a couple of friends
(including the fellow raveman Caveman, Funabetic - the 1/2 of Leezy, and the best debating German I know - De Vun en Only Schneidah)

The Vicious
(I was never big on the more high pitched sounding bass in dubstep, but this song literally blew my face off when it dropped and now I'm a fan of the higher pitched bass, it's not too high pitched to be screeching, but it's at the right level where it's still in-your-face thump and wobble down your spine, and I loove the girl voiced "FIGHT!" right before the drop)

The Less-Vicious
("You used the whole meat, you used the whole meat, you used the whole meat, beef - beef eater" - Youtube comment, listen to the song and I think you'll get why I thought it was funny enough to quote here. This song is good, and it's an easier listen than "Fight" if you're ever not in the mood for raging adrenaline music. Psh none of my readers are ever not in that mood... Kidding, we only like Beethoven)

F-Rye Day

Why is this post called Rye Day you may be wondering...
Is it because it's an acoustic post so the music is more natural like rye bread compared to white bread?
Is it because the music is made by brown people and not white people like rye bread compared to white bread?
Or is it because these songs have alot of fiber in them?
No, no, and no.
In fact, these songs are thoroughly electric and thus unnatural (they're like the animals you'd find bred in an abandoned - and very rusty - chainsaw factor that became flooded with nuclear waste, unnatural indeed).
The color of the artists isn't paid attention to at all, so the name doesn't represent brown artists (sorry, no shout out brown friends).
And no, there's not an exceptional amount of fiber, although you may shit yourself anyway.
Actually, this post is called Rye Day because rye bread "is typically denser than bread made from wheat flour" (to quote Wikipedia), and it's a friday, and a fryeday is clever, and these songs are denser than your average run-of-the-mill songs, so here, plunge your face in some electric cake perfect for a pre-drink wherever you are (except for that tea party with your baby sister.)

(This is dirty, loud, and taking over all your bodily orifices, sounds like your worst nightmare, but since it's completely safe - may cause deafness if you play it too loud, don't sue me - it's dope as hell rather than scary and painful. I love the part at 1:11 after the tough drop, "Wildstyle!")

(This is much easier on your ears than the Bassnectar track, but the drops still fucking ram your face like a cinderblock. Ok a soft cinderblock, like a bouncy one? I don't know, just realized I should probably make songs seem less painful or noone will want to listen. But you should listen, it's dope, Kaskade back on his grind with a Wolfgang mashup? Sick combo)

Motown Meets Madness

Went to a Motown themed bar the other day for my friend Jazz's birthday, and in honor of that I'm doing a semi-Motown-inspired post!

/\ Sad kitty!
(The dubstep remix of the classic "Please Mr.Postman" by the Shirelles, this remix is so fucking dope, excuse my language but it really is. I heard the original the other night, and it made me NEED to hear this remix. You'll understand why after you listen. So get to it)

(My good friend Kellysha's fav. song is "I Want You Back" and we danced the hell out of it, she also likes Drake, so here's a dope mashup in case you slept on it)

Barbra Sigmand

You all remember the great song "Barbra Streisand" by Duck Sauce, well here's a remix for those of you who like a little bit of bass with your food.
Or a lot of it.
"Oh the bass! There's just.. so.. much"
(This remix does quite the job at adding some serious thumping bass to an otherwise very happily un-bassified track. Not saying this one is better, but I enjoy some bass with my pasta)
(That wasn't supposed to make sense btw)

Hug a Dub

My roommate asked for some recommended dubstep, so I'm going to post a couple quick hits for you all to smash your heads on, at his request. All doctor's bills go to him for head injuries, not me, this is a warning to your parents.
Also,
DubStep is a good idea considering I'm going back to New York this weekend and seeing the people who enjoy a good dub to the face and some good dub to the ears (see what I did there? Ha!)

(I love the Zeds Dead remix of "Panther" and it's a huge crew classic, but this remix is an absolute murder with bass being the weapon of choice. The perfect crime in my opinion)

(Just because it deserves the recognition it deserves. This song would be in a textbook on how to do good dubstep)

(This song is a hit right now, with good reason. This has some serious bass hitting you when it drops. I don't like the rapping part that much but it lasts for a very short time so I survive. The video is cool enough to be posted)

("Roll me another J", tell me those aren't the lyrics. I dare you. Dope dub song)

fRAWday

It's not a Friday, it's a F-RAW-Day, cause' it's the end of the week, so we celebratin', am I right or am I right?
In the spirit of this fRAWday, and since I'm seeing ZEDS DEAD tonight, I decided to hit your little faces with some serious musical ferocity.
No really, these songs aren't light on the brain, you might even forget kittens existed... puppies too.

Furious Friday

(This is rawer than salmonella infected chicken meat, get your sickness induced)

(Don't tell your mom on me for having de-purified your virgin ears, you could've just listened to the Ok Go post instead. This is pure bass madness, badness my friends)

In Honor of Tonight
*ICYSOI*

(An ultimate classic, ultimate crew song, In Case You Slept On it, I don't know how you could have, but in case you did, here's this shit, from dudes I'm seeing tonight.)

Wild Wednesday

I understand it's the middle of the school week, I understand you may be tired from the past two days, and scared of having to deal with the last two days.
Since I understand this, I'm going to help you out by knocking your face off with some serious shit.
Personally I've always liked wednesdays alot because there's a sense that you're finally hitting the end of the week.
Here,
but first, remember to apologize to your earamps beforehand.

Get Your Best Fucking Speakers Out (or headphones!)
(This is fresh as hell, if you like dubstep, you'll like this, if you don't like dubstep, this can start it off. Smooth, lovely vocals, accompanied by a tough powerful bass)

(Ima miss Highschool Art Class. This shown to me by my box Max - Gold Team founding father and Norwegian instructor. Fresh shit, second drop is glorious at about 2:43, say goodbye to your face, it's getting melted)

And so you have something to listen to that won't wreck your face with a Bassgasm, here's something I had to post:
/\ Is it just me or is he a slight Justin Timerblake lookalike? Eh. Disapproved!
(It's fresh, but as soon as you listen to the song you'll realize he thinks you're cooler than him, nice! Catchy shit!)

Motherfucking Monday

Here's a good song to start your school week off with!
Get amped to do homework and shit!
Or just get hype over disliking it, whatever works, just get your blood pumping, this should help.

(No really, listen to it, and at 1:00, here comes the boom! And a serious boom indeed)

Lazy Sunday?

Feeling like it's a Lazy Sunday? Well.. Time for you to WAKE THE FUCK UP!
Here's some help (and since it's a lazy sunday, made sense for me to post songs found through help of friends):

("Now, wake the fuck up!" really good dubstep classic, check it and get yourself a rude - but fun - awakening. Found thanks to Titty Team member Tom Cajole)

(a Leet official, thanks to Leezy, pretty sick song, the drop at 2:30 is dope)

("barbra striesand is ill son. she knows what the get down is" My co-man in Ravemen knows exactly what's good, thanks to him for this banger. RAVEMEN APPROVED!)

(This receives major sibling approval. My sister (Z-Block of the infamous Cleanex-Z showed me this and I have to say it's dope, the first drop at 1:25 is sick as hell)

Saturday, September 18, 2010

Savage Saturday

Savage Saturday for you to get Slammed with da Sickness!

(Tiesto with a song you can actually listen to without him mixing it! It's good and catchy shit, but it might amp you up enough to go start a fight with someone bigger than you. Be careful children!)

(It's a "Heads Will Roll" remix that's not by A-Trak, and you know what, it's good too! A bit harder and with more bass. Good shit)

(Ahh, the vocals that pop up in this are dope as hell, mad cute no lie. It's a fresh song, happy sounding bouncy shit)

(This is so catchy. I knew the beat and I knew the song, just never had it in the library or knew name or artist. NOW I DO. And now you can too)

(Friend and member of Pizza Club showed me this shit, I'm seeing 'em on Oct. 1st as courtesy of same friend. This song is fucking sick!)

(This is actually ill as hell. I understand the hype over Chuckie when I hear a song like this, the drop at 2:00 is my favorite, but the entire song is just dope, try not to get too addicted)

Dope Lovey Shit - Rap

Since muh lady Maya thought she found a cute/good rap love song by Fabo, I decided to do a post dedicated to dope rap love songs to show her what's really good, so here it be:

Shit To Make Your Woman Be Like "Damn!
Yo' Music Taste Is Romantic and Dope Too!"

"And I don't want you rockin' em fabrics, Girl I wanna give you carats, 'til you feel you a rabbit"
/\ Cause my man quit rap to become a preacher at one point! Loolz!
(This is a fucking classic, one of my favorite songs, damn Mase does his thing!)

"Shorty, your man for you anytime you need me, for real girl, it's me in your world, believe me"
(I don't care who you are, what you think, this is THE fucking rap love song. Method Man is the king, his other songs are dope as hell too. This is my shitttttt. So good that Wale did a cover of it, I mean really? Who does covers in rap. That's how you KNOW it's sick!)

"Even though I was somewhat successful, being a player was becoming too stressful, but ever since, this superwoman has come to my rescue, my winters be wonderful, my summers been special"
(I mean, it's fresh, it's dope, but it ain't nothin compared to Mase and Meth goin to work! But nah, all these love songs are dope shit)

"Niggas come from outta town I like to show her off, they like to act tough, she like to tow em off, and make 'em straighten up they hat cause she know they soft"
(Kanye spitting a sick love song for his home Chi-Town, I don't care if it's arguable whether it's about a girl or the city, a dope love song nonetheless!) P.S. Nice to hear some classic Yeezy

"All these bitches wanna lick my ice cream, I'm tellin you son, I'm living your dream"
(Possibly the most romantic song known to man. Just wait until 1:08 - Yum Yum!)
