King of Africa

I was recently asked for the name of the song that begins the Rumble in the Jungle Mix (in honor of our Sigma Chi Pledge Party), so I'm posting it here today to add some serious TUnEnage to your TUEsday. Only difference between Tue of Tuesday, and Tune of Tuneage? U 'n E.
A.K.A. Tuneage implies you and e, who would've known!
This song would absolutely satisfy your primal instincts (and nostalgia, due to Lion King reference) sober or on drugs though, so don't think you need to go buy some ecstasy right now for it, it's a school day guys. And Tay Today does not condone drug use.
^ Africa, the real-world LSD trip
Shown to me by my main man Funabetic, partner of Leet, tri-component of Lit.

(The build-up to this song is just a blast from the past, 'cause who hasn't watched the "Lion King" at least once? - No offense if you haven't, but you should probably get to it. And therefore not only is this nostalgic, but this is an example of good sampling and a great jungle beat arising out of it. All-around good stuff, and that's that!)

Monday Monday

Here's some "Monday" to brighten your Monday!
I know there's been a lot of Steve Angello recently, but this isn't my fault, I had good reason, and I mean really, it's a Monday, and this song is called Monday, I just can't help it that the cleverness I've been cursed with has this effect.
Not that big of a post today, remember, if you're the 10,000th view (and you can check at the bottom of the page), take a snap shot of it and let me know and you'll have a mix dedicated to you within which you can choose a song or theme. I got'chu.

^ Don't ask, cause I'm not really sure how this got on here. What do you guys think of my new waxed chest though? I think it's a nice self portrait for my portfolio.
(I think this song is just great, it's not a huge dropping frenzy of electronic ferocity, as many of my favorite songs are, but it's almost chill in the way that it just builds up and up with a constant rhythm underneath, I think it works well and is seriously catchy, hearing it live would probably be epic. It could be the song playing when humans accomplished something amazing in outerspace, I'll leave that up to you to further imagine)

Kanyay

Couldn't really go on the computer for the past week, hence the lack of posts, I know I said they would be coming more frequently after the periods of post-delays recently, but I wasn't anticipating not being able to go on the computer! (It was part of initiation into Sigma Chi, we were only supposed to focus on school-work and the fraternity, tough stuff).
Anyway, since I can now come back on the computer at ease, I'm giving you guys the Saturday morning delight to start your day off right, and no that doesn't mean I'm giving you guys head, sorry if that got your hopes up.

Since it's the morning, and in light of Kanye West's recent success, I've decided to post my favorite of the G.O.O.D. FRIDAY tracks that were dropping each Friday, which is coincidentally "Good Friday" (the only one titled as such).

Also, in light of being at around 9400 views, I've come up with the idea of the person to be the 10,000th view, if they take a snapshot of the view-count at the bottom of the page saying 10,000 and send it to me, will get their own mix and can specify any song they want in it. You'll be getting reminded about this in the next coming posts but remember to keep a look out on that view-count bar!

(This is my favorite of the G.O.O.D. Friday tracks, and for good reason. The beat and chorus are simply on point, they really hit home for me, seriously catchy and ear-appeasing stuff. And of course the lyrics and featured rappers are all good. Kid Cudi works that chorus too, one of the things he's actually good at.)

Dubstep and the Modern World

As Dubstep is getting more and more popular in places other than the U.K., us who have liked Dubstep for more than a month are starting to notice some unfortunate trends. I was talking to my friend from highschool, Lamb-Bam (I don't know why I just called him that) the other day about this shared concern.
The concern is now that dubstep is 'cool', you have more and more people saying they like it and saying they want to listen to it, but don't ACTUALLY like it, or want to listen to it. It's a case of the bandwagon fan, or the trend-follower, who latches onto the seemingly mainstream trend at the moment, and becomes a 'fan'. It makes for good small talk for the new fan, but once they talk to someone who's actually into the music, their conversation drops to 'yeah's and head nodding because they don't know shit.
Now, I don't have anything against people who don't like dubstep, seriously, I completely understand, it's like an electronic heavy metal (in a way), and I don't like heavy metal, so I definitely don't judge anyone for disliking it.
And I don't have anything against people who only like some dubstep, it's ok if you're not into the really dirty, grimy shit and only like the softer, less ear penetrating stuff. That's your personal preference. It's like enjoying milder rock over heavy metal I suppose (wow I'm just running with that analogy).
My issue is that if you say you like dubstep, please actually like dubstep, and be open to listening to different types of dubstep. If you don't like all dubstep, just say you only like some dubstep. I don't like the fans who are like "Yeah I love dubstep! That filthy shit just makes me want to fuck a chicken!" and then when they hear anything dirtier than "Kickstarts (Bar 9 Remix)" (look it up, search bar at the top), they don't know how to react and turn it off. That's called being fake.
Another thing, to all you mo'fuckas who hated dubstep in the past and said it sounded bad, was impossible to dance to, all sounded the same, and all that shit, and who are now fans of it. I'd just like to say, we told you so.

So now, in the spirit of dubstep, here's the dirtiest song I've ever heard, in case you slept on it when it was posted a while ago. If you don't like dubstep, here's a chance to embrace its dirtiest, and if you do like it, see how much you really like it by blowing your face to shreds with this song.

It's too dirty! I do not want!

(All I have to say is tell your face I'm sorry for the pounding this song is going to give it. I'm kidding that's never all I have to say when I say that. Get some good headphones preferably, or sick speakers. the drop at 0:56 is dope, but the best is at 3:10 at the yell after "a strange disfigured man watches his every move". That's also when the badass human starts fucking up the robot army that had been massacring humanity, yes, there's a story to it.)

Tocadisco Thursday

It's a Thursday, and since we all know I have an affinity for alliteration (caught that?), I'm posting a great track by Tocadisco. Making this a Tocadisco Thursday. If you want to kill me for all the alliteration I hit your brain with, then you'll forgive me once you listen to the song, serious jungle vibes. It'll probably make you feel more directed and be a good fight-song for your one-man marching band of anger against alliteration (somebody stop me! It's too much!), but when the drops hit, instead of attacking me, we'll probably have a dance sesh. Don't turn it into a competition though, I always win those on home turf.
Side Note #1: Sesh means session for you unaware folks.
Side Note #2: How dope is the name Tocadisco. I want us to do a collaboration and call it Taycadisco. (Take-a-Disco! I guess we know the name of a mix I'll have to make at some point in the near future...)

Am I less determined to collaborate with this guy after seeing the above picture? My mind's telling me yes, but my ears are telling me no and to go ahead with it. So the answer is, maybe.
(The song is just well-structured and well compiled, full of jungle drums and rainforest dance-magic, when I hear this song and close my eyes, I'm immediately in a blacklight-lit rainforest with neon face-painted natives dancing around a bonfire of the dank and surrounded by trees with more pills of various shapes and colors than you can shake a stick at, who needs fruits anyway? Jus' sayin, it's that kind of song)

Favorite Cereal? Angell-Os

It's been a while since I last posted, sorry about that, but I'm back at it and won't leave so much time between posts anymore. In spirit of potentially going to see Steve Angello on Friday, and to see whether or not my friends want to go, today's post is going to be very Angello-fied to show off his good shit. Although he's MUCH better live than his tracks show in my opinion!
Who the fuck is Steve Angello?
A third of Swedish House Mafia (you'll see a song of theirs later, the biggest hit of this summer "One") along with Sebastian Ingrosso and Axwell. A half-Greek half-Swedish DJ known as one of the top in the field, with a shit load of awards recently and other impressive stuff that I won't go into detail about, that's what Wikipedia is for!
My favorite song here is probably "Partouze (Jean Elan Remix)", just for that drop at 4:22, it's madness I tell you, MADNESS.

(One thing to keep in mind with this song, is the drop at 1:28, will literally give your ears the loving and satisfaction they so properly desire when it drops on good speakers or good headphones, that bass is a vibrating massage waiting to happen)

(This is one of my preferred remixes of "In for the Kill" by La Roux, Steve Angello combines the two different songs very well I think)

(This could easily be regarded as the song of this summer, at "Electric Zoo" the electro festival in New York earlier this year, this was the most played track and the encore at the end of the two-day festival. It's just a hit.)

(It's all fun and games, and then it hits the build up until the drop at 4:22, then it becomes a complete wasteland, ideal for your dancing and auditory needs, you dirty listener you. I also think that drop is very reminiscent of Wolfgang Gartner, oh, and atomic destruction too)

Rumble in the Jungle

This has been a work-in-progress so that's why it's late, I kept getting distracted by distracting stuff (such as getting back on my cellular grind, basketball, cleaning, you know, the regular stuff) and I also kept fucking up (excuse my english) (oh new catchphrase alert!) the mix by like randomly scratching by accident or something (there's a tiny mess-up in this one too, actually there's two, but they're little and I'm too lazy to fix them).
So here it is, after the long wait...
In honor of the Sigma Chi Fraternity Pledge Party "Rumble in the Jungle: Deep Within the Bush", an exclusive Tay Today Jungle Mix made up of the most exotic sounds known to man (or a good amount of them).
I prefer this one much more than the HalloWeakEnd Mix, and I think there are some really good parts! Let me know what you think, improvements, stuff you liked, etc. Same deal with commenting as before, you can always just comment anonymously.
Without further ado (except you'll have to scroll past my fascinating flyer),

This was my first attempt at making a flyer, needless to say, another more legit looking one got chosen for the event haha.
(Haha see what I did with the name there! I'm a man of many names, so mysterious. But about the song, I like a lot of parts, I'm happy with a good amount, I think the "Animal" mix came out decently, or has potential, and I really like the two songs that come after Panther (Marvul Remix) - that's the song with "Animal", I'm not going to tell you much else because that could spoil it. Also, the ending makes sense because the song is called "Turn Down the Lights" and it's the end.. I thought it was clever)

I Like It

I'm feeling nice, so here's a sick song for you to enjoy and be thankful for, I think you'll like it, I'm basically positive, unless you don't like dirty dutch house...

Had to use this pic again, it's my fav shot of Chuckie!
(There's not much to say about this hit, it's just your classic Chuckie banger, that classic high pitched dirtfest and use of popular hits, this song is just good, 'nuff said)
